Hier kan je het Be Nice WordPress Theme downloaden.
- Download de Theme.
- upload naar je wp-content/themes/ folder.
- Activeer de Theme in je Administratie gedeelte door op “Be Nice” te klikken.
Deze Theme heeft geen plugin nodig om correct te werken, mocht het bij jouw problemen geven kijk eerst na of je alles correct hebt uitgepakt en ge-upload, kijk of de versie van je WP 1.5.2 is.

Hello,
I use the “Be nice” theme. It works great in Firefox, but in IE does something strange with the sidebar. How can I fix the problem?

Depent on wat the strange effect is.
The Theme was tested with IE6, FireFox and Opera, so if you use IE6 you probably dit something wrong, or changed something in the CSS or XHTML ?
Please check if in CSS:
#sidebar {
float : left;
width : 23%;
margin : 0 0 0 3px;
}

Hi,
The problem is that all the conent of the sidebar appears at the botton of the page. I try to download the theme again and the problem persist.Yo can see the problem in www.fitti.org (with IE6).

The problem is also in FireFox and the problem is verry easy.
Remove just for fun the calendar, this one is responsible for breaking the layout.
The sidebar has limited width, you schould try not to get above it.

You saw the blog wrong in Firefox beause I was traying to fix it . Try now, in Firefox the sidebar works well but in IE not. I remove the calendar and the problem is the same.

Thats one error lesser.
Now try to crop the images a little bit lesser in width.
As you can see all the content is pushed a bit to the left (header will begin in the sidebar etc..)
I am sorry for all of that, but there are rules to this theme (width of sidebar and content) iff you expand the content such things happen.

as for now i see a lot of changes in the code:
You changed XHTML strict to Transitional, you placed a lot of CSS for plugin’s.
Maybe you changed a little bit too mutch ??
As i was saying, the theme works in IE6, FF and Opera 100% correct.
If you change stuff out off the download, i am not responsible for errors.
I will trying to help you, butt you schould start from the exact theme that you downloaded, without any changes.

I’d love to try this theme out in Wordpress 2.0 but the download doesn’t work for me–just reloads the page when download link is clicked.

Ik zal Be nice zodadelijk even testen op mijn WP2 blog.
Op dit moment is mijn host de server aan ‘t rebooten dus hopelijk kan ik er snel weer bij!

Nou hij doet ‘t perfect voor zover ik kan zien.
Het enige rare is dat op de index.php, alles in ‘t Nederlands vertaalt is, en ik heb toch echt de engelse versie gedownload….

Tyhe problem i wrote would solve the problem over there, the theme works with the calender, butt not on that specific site.
Dit you download it recently ?
Search for:

Hallo,
Ik heb zitten tobben om jou persoonlijke te contracteren, maar dan heb alleen ik er wat aan, en verder niemand. Vandaar dat ik het eerst hier vraag
Ik wil jou thema ook op m’n weblog gaan gebruiken, maar nu zou ik graag een 3de kolom (dus een 2de sidebar) aan de rechterkant willen hebben. Ik heb al een extra sidebar bestand gemaakt (sidebar_extra.php) en deze in de Main_index_template geïncludeerd. Nu moet je (naar mijn idee) met de CSS file de extra sidebar naar de rechterkant commanderen, maar dit lukt niet! De 3de kolom wordt veel te klein, de content verdwijnt helemaal naar beneden en noem maar op!
Nu is mijn vraag: is het mogelijk een extra sidebar te maken in dit theme, en als dat kan, zou je willen uitleggen hoe je dit ongeveer kunt doen?

Ja het is mogelijk, en sorry maar neen ik kan je dit niet uitleggen, gewoon omwille dat het te veel aan uitleg zou zijn en ik dit eerst zou moeten proberen alvorens uit te leggen.
Ik heb eigenlijk andere dingen te doen, maar misschien maak ik ooit nog eens een theme met 3 kolommen.

Ik snap heel goed dat je dat nu niet wilt uitleggen, omdat je daar niet de zin, tijd of iets anders voor hebt.
Ik ben in ieder geval blij te horen dat het wel mogelijk is, niet dat ik eindeloos ga zitten pielen op iets wat niet kan Als het me gelukt is zal ik wel even contact met u opnemen, wellicht dat u er iets aan kan hebben?

Ik heb een probleem met de list functie
‘, ”, ”, 0, ‘name’, 0, 0, -1, 0); ?>
Nu is er geen weergegeven tussen die bij de linkpartners. Bijgevolg is er ook minder boven en onder ruimte als bij de categorie lijst. Ik begrijp echter ook helemaal niet wat die 1 en 0 etc betekent.

Hello, I have just noticed your theme on the new wordpress theme website and saw that the example was broken.
When you do the test run the left sidebar column is below all the post and now directly on the right. Could you examine what is the problem?

since my belgian is a little rusty, is there a download available for an english localized version of the theme or is there a good place to look up the translations so that i can do it myself? thanks!

@Derek, there is no Englisch download available, sorry.
This was my first attempt to build a theme, and i hardcoded it in the file’s themself, right now i’am not working anymore on this theme.
Butt there are only a few things to translate, the comment-stuff. Wenn you activate it you will see wat to translate and its verry logical
